The Eulogy

Sometimes it is all about saying good-bye. BLANK will be sorely missed—both by his host as well as the many fears and blocks he helped to create. He will be remembered for all joy and love but also all the space he took up which kept anything new and better from coming in. He will be remembered for all the doubt and lost inspiration. But as he rests from his life’s long labor, this experience should know that he has made his host who they are today. The world is most definitely a better place because of the experience.  But Read more…

Do you cry because its over or smile because it happened?

Dr. Seuss has not only provided us with an infinite amount of entertainment in his colorful rhymes and stories, but has provided us with an enormous amount of insight and inspiration.  He was full of amazing quotes that really make you stop and think…below is one of my favorites. Don’t cry because it’s over…Smile because it happened. Dr. Seuss There are so many chapters in our lives that no matter how painful they are to end, they must.  We need to stop and look at what we do to ourselves and others when we hold on too long.  What do you Read more…

Hidden lessons.

Balancing river rocks in the desert

I have been guided once again to work on my guided journal that I have wanted to publish. The thoughts have been in my head for a few years…and well it is really about time I put it officially out there. It is one of those artistic creations that look a specific way in my head and well as I put it to paper it’s looking slightly different. I guess that is where the message to remove expectations so we can receive better than we imagined comes in. I am putting it out here for some accountability I guess. I Read more…

Spring has sprung…have you?

Ahhhh….Spring.  The time of awakening.  It is amazing to watch the world around you when spring rolls in.  Everything begins to take on color again.  The world around us becomes more vibrant.  You begin to see the birds actively flying all about.  There is a freshness…a …newness that fills the air. It is as if life is slowly being awakened from the long slumber of winter. Awakening..This is really my topic.  Before I started to write I decided to pull a card or two from my Earth Magic deck for inspiration.  I pulled two cards, Winter Solstice (reflection) and DNA Read more…

I believe I can fly

Ever have one of those days when you believed anything was possible?  This is what last Saturday was for me. Wouldn’t have expected it being it was daylight savings time.  For those of you who are blessed to not have to follow this seemingly unnecessary seasonal passage, you are lucky! We have two each year, one in Fall, when you “fall” back an hour and one in the spring, where you “spring” ahead. Springing ahead is definitely the worse of the two. Losing and hour can really mess up our system… but this day… the weather was simply too beautiful Read more…

Are you ready for hibernation…That time of deep focus and contemplation?

I wrote about the Squirrel quite awhile ago…and what he was preparing us for.  In that post I talked about the “Hibernation” stage.  Here is the link to that post if you are interested in familiarizing yourself; Let’s take a lesson from the squirrel. I believe we are now entering…that hibernation I spoke of. What do I mean by Hibernation? It is time for us to reflect and contemplate what we have learned and experienced thus far.  Time to really look at the whys and the how comes.  Time to ask ourselves what was the greater meaning of this or does Read more…

What happens when you no longer want what you thought you wanted?

January 2nd started like any other ordinary day for me.  I woke up and went to work.  Of course I had spent the New Year affirming my intentions for not only the New Year, but the New moon.  Like many of you I was ready, ready to take the next steps along my path.  Then…the phone rings.  Screech~~~~~~ What happened was intentions that had been previously set, were beginning to  manifest, and this made me aware of something. So often we talk about how to get what we want, which is good, however Read more…

The proverbial Clean Slate…

Here we are…the beginning of a New Year.  The proverbial CLEAN SLATE. Hmph….clean slate…possibly.  I suppose I think of it like this a little as well. It is in a sense that one time of the year that we seem to give our selves the permission to start over and LET…Things GO.  But why do we feel we have to wait and do this only once a year?   This year, try to carry the feeling that ANYTHING is possible with you through out the year!  Agree to give yourself the permission to let go of the things in your life that no Read more…
