Trust

This photo I took made me think of life…the unexpected…and our struggle with learning to trust. Life is about learning to trust.  Learning to trust the path you are on, and believing that it will not only lead you to your destination but also present us with needed life lessons along the way. Sometimes the terrain is level and firm and then…in the blink of an eye it can narrow and turn to stone.  It is up to you…to have faith in yourself. Learning to find your balance is key, what works for you and what doesn’t. I hope Read more…

Are you able to see the unseen beauty?

My last short post prompted a thought.  I state that beauty is everywhere, I capture it where ever I go…it got me thinking…some of us are blessed to live in a more “picturesque ” location than others, and some have a natural way of seeing beauty in otherwise “ordinary” things. I would like to challenge everyone to make an effort and look for beauty where it may otherwise go unseen.  Seek out the unseen beauty that surrounds us all.  Notice it in the little things, the big things, all things! This is a great way to switch the thought process Read more…

Does your life feel like it is currently under construction?

I have felt very distracted lately.  It seems my thoughts keep wandering and drifting to far away places.  So far that when they return I am not sure where they have gone to. I was tallying up the dates the other day and realized that this month marks my 3rd month of being laid off from my “day” job…  This realization comes with mixed feelings. I find myself at odds with where I am.  It’s funny how unproductive I feel…yet in the same breath I am amazed at how much I have accomplished.  In meditation the other day, I Read more…

Hidden lessons.

Balancing river rocks in the desert

I have been guided once again to work on my guided journal that I have wanted to publish. The thoughts have been in my head for a few years…and well it is really about time I put it officially out there. It is one of those artistic creations that look a specific way in my head and well as I put it to paper it’s looking slightly different. I guess that is where the message to remove expectations so we can receive better than we imagined comes in. I am putting it out here for some accountability I guess. I Read more…

Are you ready for hibernation…That time of deep focus and contemplation?

I wrote about the Squirrel quite awhile ago…and what he was preparing us for.  In that post I talked about the “Hibernation” stage.  Here is the link to that post if you are interested in familiarizing yourself; Let’s take a lesson from the squirrel. I believe we are now entering…that hibernation I spoke of. What do I mean by Hibernation? It is time for us to reflect and contemplate what we have learned and experienced thus far.  Time to really look at the whys and the how comes.  Time to ask ourselves what was the greater meaning of this or does Read more…

What happens when you no longer want what you thought you wanted?

January 2nd started like any other ordinary day for me.  I woke up and went to work.  Of course I had spent the New Year affirming my intentions for not only the New Year, but the New moon.  Like many of you I was ready, ready to take the next steps along my path.  Then…the phone rings.  Screech~~~~~~ What happened was intentions that had been previously set, were beginning to  manifest, and this made me aware of something. So often we talk about how to get what we want, which is good, however Read more…

The proverbial Clean Slate…

Here we are…the beginning of a New Year.  The proverbial CLEAN SLATE. Hmph….clean slate…possibly.  I suppose I think of it like this a little as well. It is in a sense that one time of the year that we seem to give our selves the permission to start over and LET…Things GO.  But why do we feel we have to wait and do this only once a year?   This year, try to carry the feeling that ANYTHING is possible with you through out the year!  Agree to give yourself the permission to let go of the things in your life that no Read more…

Are you ready to deliver your tomorrow?

I decided to take some time and address this void I have been in. It has been very startling how easily I have been able to slip into a state of nothingness…. I don’t necessarily mind this state…it has just surprised me how easy it has been to go from something resembling chaos (life) to just being.   As of last week  I really started to notice that I have been having the hardest time….remembering the simplest of things.  Time seems to no longer be a relevant concept for me.  I have been over committing lately, and the result…is I have been finding myself spending more and more time Read more…

What Train are you on?

I was asked the other day a question that caused me to pause for a moment. The question was; What is it that you do? Normally when we are asked this question we can rattle off whatever job description we have or a description that correlates to our job title. For me however it was one of those things that made me pause and ask myself..what is it that I do? Here it is the first of December already, this amazing year nearly complete .  For many of us our thoughts are focused on the Holiday’s the Season is in Read more…
