What awakens your spirit?

What does that mean to you?  Right now from where you are sitting as you read this, what does the title of this blog ignite within you? Anything? Regardless of your faith, this is the season where you will often hear talk of the word spirit.  I was just recently on a radio show (to be aired over the holidays on PLV radio) that was themed: the spirit of the season and a look into 2015.  We spent a good part of the show discussing what the season means to each of us. Between the three of us on air Read more…

Giving Thanks

Giving thanks is today’s task. Make it simple, make a list.  Thanksgiving used to be the one holiday that felt, how should I say it, real. For me my memories of the holiday actually feel pretty nonexistent, the earliest I can remember (right now as I write) are from when I was about 12 or 13 years old. It is a great time to remember to appreciate one another and to gather together and give thanks.  But…somehow that has changed.  The true meaning or purpose of the holiday has once again been corrupted by commercialism.  The gluttony of the feast Read more…

In the beginning part 2- The importance of Memories.

In my last blog, I left off with the importance of understanding our beginnings, our past and our experiences.  This was an important thing to really begin to think about as it helps us understand in some way who we are today. In reviewing part 1 I realized I left about a key part of this series that I would like to add here, before we go much further. I want you to designate a notebook, journal or maybe an online journal of sorts to this series.  Label it “The beginning” it is where I want you to start documenting Read more…

In the Beginning Part 1- Our first encounters with being psychic

I believe that some of our first memorable encounters with being psychic often occur in our teen years. I recently shared (on my Facebook page) a great article that I happened upon in my Facebook feed.  It was called 9 Way’s to stop absorbing other peoples negative energy Click the link if you get a chance.  It has some great tips for all of us but for sure those that are highly empathic. On my quest to want to start at the beginning…I have been rather overwhelmed.  SO much is already out there that I don’t want to discount or reinvent Read more…

The reset button has been pushed and we find ourselves once again, at the beginning

Like many of you I am certain, I have been thinking about a lot of things lately. This time of year seems to really paint the picture of reflection.  My thoughts have ranged from expectation, purpose, direction, you know the light afternoon thought or two. However; for some reason during my thoughts as of late it seem as if someone has hit the reset button and I am suddenly brought abruptly back to the beginning. So the beginning is where I will go.  I think that the younger generation of today’s world has it both good and bad.  The good Read more…

What is this thing called purpose?

I have been inspired to talk about this thing called purpose.  You hear people talking about it all the time.  It has become a quest for so many.  I know I myself have spent, maybe even wasted, many hours contemplating upon it. Wait a second she said wasted?  Yep, I did. I believe that there can be too much time focused on waiting to be inspired or enlightened with your purpose, that you actual miss the opportunities to actually experience or discover it. The other thing about purpose is who says there is just one? Sure Gandhi,        Read more…
